Law Enforcement Guidelines

Munify Corporation (“Munify”) is committed to supporting lawful investigations and cooperating with law enforcement authorities while protecting the privacy and security of our users’ information.
These guidelines describe the process for governmental and law enforcement agencies seeking information from Munify in connection with official investigations.
Munify will respond to properly authorized legal requests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

1. General Requirements

‍

Munify will only disclose non-public user information in response to valid legal processes.
Requests must meet the following criteria:

Written Request
Munify does not accept verbal requests for information.

‍
Valid Legal Process
Requests must be accompanied by a valid subpoena, court order, search warrant, or other legally binding request issued by an authority with appropriate jurisdiction.

‍
Specific and Targeted
Requests must identify specific user accounts or transactions. Munify cannot process broad or speculative (“fishing”) requests.

2. Where to Send Requests

To ensure proper handling, all law enforcement requests must be sent to Munify’s compliance team.

3. Jurisdiction

‍

Legal requests must be issued by a competent authority with jurisdiction over the relevant Munify entity or applicable data.

‍
Requests originating outside the United States may require additional legal process or international cooperation mechanisms (such as mutual legal assistance treaties).

‍
Munify reserves the right to reject requests that do not comply with applicable legal requirements.

4. Information Required to Process Requests

‍

To help identify relevant records, requests should include:

‍

  • Full name of the user (if available)
  • Email address associated with the account
  • Phone number associated with the account
  • Transaction identifiers (TxIDs, bank transfer references, or wallet addresses)
  • Relevant date range for requested records
  • Name, title, agency, and contact details of the investigating officer

Providing more specific identifiers will significantly improve response time.

5. Types of Information Munify May Maintain

‍

Subject to valid legal process and applicable law, Munify may be able to provide:

Basic Subscriber Information:

  • Account name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Account creation date

‍

Identity Verification Information:

  • Government identification documents submitted during onboarding
  • Liveness verification records
  • Verification status information

‍

Identity Verification Information:

  • Records of deposits and withdrawals
  • Payment routing information
  • Internal transaction identifiers

‍

Technical Access Logs

  • IP address history
  • Device identifiers
  • Login timestamps

Please note that certain payment or settlement records may be maintained by regulated partner institutions integrated with Munify’s platform.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

‍

Munify utilizes regulated financial institutions and infrastructure providers to facilitate payment processing and digital asset settlement.

Certain transaction records may therefore be held by these partners.

Where appropriate, law enforcement agencies may need to submit requests directly to the relevant service provider.

7. Emergency Requests

‍

Munify may voluntarily disclose information to law enforcement without legal process when we reasonably believe that an emergency involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury requires disclosure without delay.

Emergency requests must:

  • Be clearly marked “EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST”
  • Include a detailed explanation of the emergency circumstances
  • Be sent from an official law enforcement email address.

8. Notice to Users

‍

Munify’s policy is to notify affected users of requests for their information unless:

  • The legal process prohibits such notification (for example, through a non-disclosure order)
  • Providing notice would pose a risk of harm to individuals
  • Notification is prohibited by law.

9. Cost Reimbursement

‍

Munify reserves the right to seek reimbursement for costs associated with responding to large or complex information requests, as permitted by applicable law (including 18 U.S.C. § 2706).
